Red Hat Posted Stable Release Package Cygwin 3.3.0 , which includes a DLL library to emulate the Basic Linux API in Windows, allowing you to collect the program created for Linux programs with minimal changes. The package also includes standard UNIX utilities in Windows, server applications, compilers, libraries and header files.
Cygwin 3.3.0 will be the latest release with support for Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 and 32-bit installations, and Cygwin 3.4.0 will be the latest release with Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012. In The branches after CYGWIN 3.4.0 will be supported only by the system, starting with Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2.
Main changes:
- The profile system is enabled.
- Added Utility ‘Gmondump’, which allows you to form dumps with information about the “Gmon.out” file, recorded by the profiling system, as well as on the SSP database or using GCC / G ++ with the ‘-pg’ option.
- Added GNU-specific features for inclusion in the next POSIX standard: pthread_cond_clockwait, pthread_mutex_clocklock, pthread_rwlock_clockrdlock, pthread_rwlock_clockwrlock, sem_clockwait.
