Center for Training Cosmonauts takes part in International Astronautical Congress

From 25 to 29 October 2021, the 72nd International Astronautical Congress, IAC is held in the United Arab Emirates (International Astronautical Congress, IAC). In the framework of the Congress Congress, Oleg Violinchka and Alexey Ovchinin took part in the opening ceremony, as well as at a meeting of the crew members of the 60/61st Expedition of the International Space Station, which included the first astronaut of the UAE Hazza Al Mansouri.

On Wednesday, October 27, during the work of the section “Preparation of astronauts, their life and work in space” Oleg Skriphechka presented a report “Creating multi-segment training technology to flight on board the ISS”. In his speech, the cosmonaut affected the creation issues (jointly with international partners in the ISS program), the implementation and development of technology for multi-segment training and the practice of its application based on the Center for the Training of Cosmonauts named after Yu.A. Gagarin.

In addition, Oleg Violinchka and Alexey Ovchinin take an active part in the presentation of the exposition of the Roskosmos State Corporation, submitted for the first time on IAC, within which the Center for Cosmonaut’s Preparation Center demonstrates a robotic stand designed to work out the interaction of the astronaut who has a copy-type setting device and a virtual reality helmet, with 3D models of robotic spacecraft systems for the fulfillment of flight operations at remote work.

On September 25, 2019, the start of the transport piloted ship “Union MS-15” with a cosmonamp of Roscosmos, Oleg Violin, was started with Astronaut, Jessica Meir and a member of the EP-19 of Hazza Al Mansuri (UAE).

On board the International Space Station, the crew met the astronauts of Roscosmos Alexey Ovchinin and Alexander Skvortsov, NASA Astronauts Nick Hayig, Christina Cook, Andrew Morgan and Astronaut ESA Luka Parmitano.

On October 3, 2019, the descent apparatus of the transport piloted ship “Union MS-12” with a cosmonaut of Roscosmos Aleksey Ovchinin, the NASA astronaut Nick Hhaig and the Participant of Space Flight on the EP-19 program of Hazza Al Mansuri (United Arab Emirates) made a staff landing at a given point on territories of Kazakhstan.

Duration of stay in the space flight Alexey Ovchinin and Nick Hheya amounted to 203 days, Hazza Al Mansouri – 8 days. The piloted ship “Union MS-12” was located as part of the station from March 15, 2019.
