Former president of Moldova, the leader of the Socialist Party Igor Dodon left the country’s parliament. This is reported by “Sputnik Moldova”.
In the Moldavian parliament, officially approved his application for the addition of the deputy mandate. In support of this solution, 70 deputies voted.
Igor Dodon became a deputy of the Supreme Legislative Body of Moldova after early elections, which took place on July 11, 2021. In Parliament, he passed on the lists of the Communist Block and Socialists.
On October 18, Dodon promised to pass the deputy mandate. The ex-head of the republic said that he did not see sense in his future stay in parliament and suggested that it could be “much more efficient” in other positions.
In November 2020, Dodon lost the election of President Moldova. In the second round, he scored 42.25 percent of the vote, and the former Prime Minister of Maya Sanda – 57.75 percent.
