Shares “Rusala” collapsed

RUSAL shares collapsed more than five percent during the trading on Thursday, October 28. At the opening of the main trading session on the Moscow stock exchange of paper, up to 71.17 rubles per piece (minus 5.4 percent compared with the closure of previous trading). At 10:40 per share were given 71.57 rubles (minus 3.83 percent).

The reason for the fall was the yield of a quarterly report on the decline in aluminum sales by 11.8 percent, up to 915 thousand tons. At the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the company’s shares fell by almost 19 percent, to seven Hong Kong dollars apiece.

In mid-October, the company’s paper installed a record on the background of the news about the rise in price of aluminum, rising to 87.87 rubles per piece. A few days later, the cost dropped sharply after the FBI searches in the Washington House of Relatives of the shareholder of Oleg Deripaska.

At the end of September, the US Department of Commerce called on the American authorities to establish “RUSAL” with anti-dumping duties on the import of foil in the amount of 62.18 percent. There they believe that some types of imported foil are sold in the US lower than fair value. The final decision on the tariffs will be issued by the Federal Commission for International Trade in the first half of November.
