A new anti-aircraft installation MTU-4 was shown in Serbia. The development of the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Serbia can use anti-aircraft missiles of the needle complexes and Strela 2Ma. This is reported by “Russian Gazeta”.
Installation can simultaneously use four guides with anti-aircraft missiles. Aiming complex with a thermal imaging canal makes it possible to detect goals at any time of the day. Also, MTU-4 was equipped with a complex that allows you to recognize the affiliation of the aircraft.
The mobility of the anti-aircraft installation provides a light SUV ZASTAVA NTV. The machine contains a navigation system, a radio station and ammunition. The publication notes that MTU-4 allows you to hit aircraft, helicopters and drones of the enemy.
The material emphasized the similarity of Serbian development with the Russian reference installation “Djigit”, which received two guides to install anti-aircraft missiles. “Djigit” allows you to lead a volley fire with rockets of the complexes “Needle” and “Needle-1”.
Earlier, the Polish edition of Defence24 declared the superiority of the portable anti-aircraft missile complex Piorun over the Russian “Verba”. The publication notes that the range of Polish development exceeds 6.4 kilometers.
