Major metallurgical companies turned with a letter to the first departure of Andrei Belousov with a complaint about Russian Railways due to the “reduction in the efficiency of the monopoly. This is reported by Kommersant with reference to the press service of the government.
According to representatives of companies, the number of trained trains is growing in the country. Thus, according to the publication, the number of non-exploited railway transport increased by 41.8 percent, non-working trunk locomotives – by 16 percent from January to August 2021.
In the letter also noted delays in the supply of raw materials, which threaten the risk of “fan stops of domain production” at the factories. Companies complain about the actions of logistics controls in the direction of key ports that do not allow to deliver Russian metal products to consumers.
In Russian Railways, the criticism was called unreasonable, and “some delays” explained by the general increase in demand for transportation.
October 5 reported that Russian Railways has exceeded the plan for September to set the workers and attracted 16 thousand people to the expansion of the Baikal-Amur highway. Reconstruction, which is considered one of the main Russian megaprojects, now does not interfere with the problem of personnel shortage. Railways representatives did not specify how many employees will be required according to plan in 2022, but confirmed that their number will increase.
