Moscow’s cooperation with its partners in Europe and all over the world reveals significant prospects for the Russian Green Economy. RBC ambassadors of France and Germany in Russia Pierre Levy and Geza Andreas von Gair told RBC.
In addition to deliveries to other stable energy countries, Russia is able to produce innovative technical solutions and scientific achievements in the field of ecology. To do this, in Moscow should take challenges of climate change and bold political solutions for answering them. Then Russia will be able to take advantage of the opened opportunities.
In the case of productive cooperation with other countries, the Russian economy will be able to develop the potential laid out in an impressive and pristine nature, as well as in the climatic manifold of Russia. Thus, according to the “Northern Stream-2” pipeline, “green” hydrogen can be pumped, and Moscow can become a platform for financing environmental projects.
Russia, according to ambassadors, has a leading tourist destination for the whole world. In the Ulyanovsk and Astrakhan regions, you can create a renewable energy hubs, and Kuzbass is able to abandon coal deposits and turn into the center of “green” science and industry.
According to Levy and the von Gair, the foundations of the environmental future of Russia are incorporated now. They recalled that at the Russian Ecological Week, President Vladimir Putin guaranteed the transition of the national economy to carbon neutrality no later than 2060.
