The EU court ruled that Poland is obliged to pay the European block of 1 million euros of the fine every day until it starts to work on the reform of his judicial system. This decision was considered to consider the independence of the Polish court, writes The Washington Post.
Two days before the decision of the court, Polish Prime Minister Mateus Murezhetsky promised that the EU will answer if the “third world war” decides with the Polish state. “We will protect our rights with the help of any weapon that only have at our disposal,” he stated.
On September 7, the European Commission required to impose sanctions against Poland due to judicial reform. Exactly in a month, October 7, the Polish Constitutional Court recognized the rule of constitutional right over European.
European authorities are dissatisfied with the alleged Poland’s encroachment on the independence of the judiciary: the new judicial body created by the current Polish government is considered to limit the decisions of the courts.
