The official representative of the White House Jen Psaki said that the United States with concern is observing the military modernization of China, since they see it a threat to regional stability. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
Psaki commented on the statement by the Chairman of the Joint Committee of the headquarters of Mark Milli, who stated that the launch of Chinese hypersonic missiles can be compared with the launch of the “satellite-1” in the USSR.
“I think that [Mi Milli] concerned that we all share, regarding China’s efforts on military modernization. They continue to work on the possibilities that increase tensions in the region, and we continue to experience concern about this,” noted Psaki.
In mid-October, the media became known that in August China conducted a hypersonic rocket test with a nuclear charge. Then the Chinese hyperzvukovka rocket had the land through a low-bit space and almost struck the intended target.
“Satellite-1” – the first artificial satellite of the Earth, launched the USSR on October 4, 1957. In the US, the launch of the satellite was perceived very painfully, in the American society, a moral panic began due to the assumptions about the technological lagging against Russia. This led to the creation of the National Aeronautics Aeronautics and the Space Space (NASA) and the beginning of the “Space Race”.
