PCP completed work on preparing for launch of program “Progress MS-18”

Specialists of the Moscow Region Flight Center of TsNIIMASH (included in the perimeter of the Roskosmos State Corporation) completed work on the preparation of the Progress MS-18 Transport Cargo Ship and subsequent docking towards the Russian segment of the International Space Station. In accordance with the calculations of the Ballistic-navigation support service, the start of the start is scheduled after 8 hours, October 28 at 03:00:32 Moscow time.

Specialists of the main operational management team of the Russian segment of the ISS (Rospace Corporation “Energy” named after S.P. Queen, enters Roscosmos) to control the “space truck” after separation from the third stage of the carrier rocket. The convergence of the “Progress MS-18” ship with the station and the mooring of the service module “Star” is planned to be carried out automatically under the control of SAP specialists and Russian members of the station crew, astronauts of Roscosmos Anton Dublis and Peter Dubrov. The docking with the station is scheduled for October 30, 2021 at 04:34 Moscow time (± 3 min).

The spacecraft must be delivered on board the international space station fuel refueling, reserves of drinking water and air, as well as 1,490 kg of various equipment and materials required for its further operation in manned mode. At the same time, a set of target loads will go to the station in the framework of the Russian Scientific Research Program.
