Uzbekistan wanted to simplify set of migrants to work in Russia

The Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of Uzbekistan wanted to simplify the procedure for organized recruitment of its citizens to work in Russian cities and applied with the relevant proposal to the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation. This is reported on the department website.

Tashkent believes that the intergovernmental agreement signed in 2017, which regulates the process of such a set, needs to be updated due to the complex situation in the labor market during a pandemic. Both sides commended all procedures on this subject, that is, both for migrants and for employers.

“In each region, the country has been created a unique system of providing services to the unemployed population, providing for professional and linguistic training, entrepreneurship training and counseling on labor migration issues,” the agency says. What exactly changes will be entered into the document, until it is specified.

Earlier, the Russian authorities announced a “migration amnesty” for Uzbeks who committed crimes or administrative offenses and were deported. It will affect at least 158 thousand people.
