At “Expo 2020” a presentation of project “Call”

On Wednesday, October 27, 2021, an international conference was held at Al Wasl Plaza on Expo 2020, dedicated to current issues of exploration of outer space, international cooperation and innovation, the emergence of new activities related to space. As part of this conference, a presentation was also held on the experience of the unique scientific and educational project “Challenge”, which is an important stage in the development of space tourism and manned flights.

The event was attended by General Director of Roskosmos State Corporation Dmitry Rogozin; General Director of Glavkosmos (part of the Roscosmos State Corporation) Dmitry Loskutov, as well as participants in the space flight Klim Shipenko and Julia Peresilde.

In particular, Dmitry Loskutov said that the Glavkosmos concluded an agreement with four cosmic tourists who would fly to the transport piloted ships of the Soyuz MS series in 2024. The general director added that the company received a number of other requests for tourist flights into space.

“Today, the Glavkosmos signed a preliminary agreement on the provision of four places in 2024, and this means two commercial flights in 2024 with customers. I will not say what kind of customers,” said Loskutov at the International Astronautical Congress IAC-2021 in Dubai.

Recall, on October 17, 2021, the descent apparatus of the transport piloted ship “Yu.A. Gagarin” (Union of MS-18) made a regular landing at the calculation point in Kazakhstan. Oleg Novitsky’s astronaut, who spent in orbit for more than six months, and participants in the space flight Klim Shipenko and Julia Peresilde.

Klim Shipenko and Julia Peresilde spent 12 days in outer space, they delivered to the aston of Roskosmos, Anton Sluffers on the piloted ship “Union MS-19”. Cinematographers and Russian astronauts worked on a challenge “Challenge” – the first in the history of playing cinema, the shooting of which was carried out outside the land.
