Western countries are striving to unleash the “war” against Belarus and already “threw” the German tanks “Leopard” to its borders. The president of the Republic of Alexander Lukashenko appeared with this statement at a meeting with the doctors of one hospitals in the city of Lida, writes BelTA.
According to him, the doctors themselves could notice the escalation of tension on the borders and should understand, “What happened and what they want from us.” “You are here more in the West than everyone else,” said Lukashenko.
He also appealed to his assistant and inspector in the Grodno region Yuri Karaev, asking him to carefully monitor the situation on the Western borders. “You, Yura, look here (you are general, among other things), what they are doing there outside. Tuping in time. Scounds extreme,” said Belarusian politician.
Earlier, Lukashenko refused to change the political system of Belarus and proposed to preserve in the country a strong presidential power, despite the early promises to conduct large-scale reforms. At the same time, he proposed to formally redistribute the powers between the management bodies and submit to the Constitutional Powers of the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly (VNS).
The relations of Belarus with the countries of the West sharply deteriorated after the presidential elections in the republic, who passed in August 2020 and on which Lukashenko defeated the sixth time. The mass protests started after the end of the voting were brutally suppressed by the security forces. Lukashenko himself has repeatedly stated that the organization of rallies are “European political elites”.
