Belarusians who left abroad and found work there in the “Interests of Western countries”, should be deprived of citizenship to protect the country’s socio-political life. With such a proposal, the official representative of the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption (Gup) was performed at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus, Vyacheslav Orlovsky, writes Telegram-channel “Sputnik near abroad.”
According to the speaker, there is already a law in the republic, which makes it possible to deprive citizenship of the guilty of “causing grievous harm to the interests of Belarus.” He stressed that this norm applies only to those who received a passport in adulthood, not at birth, and offered to distribute it to all categories of citizens without exception.
“People who escaped from our country hate it and today work in the interests of Western countries, should not have the right to be called Belarusians,” said Orlovsky.
He assured that those who left the country because of political persecution actually “turned away from the country”, and the authorities should answer this in the same way. “As a result, they will not be able to come to Belarus in a free order, they will not be able to participate in electoral processes, socio-political life of the state,” the representative of the department added.
Earlier, Orlovsky announced recognition in the country extremist large number of Telegram channels. We are talking about at least 327 such resources. All of them are “in the development” of Belarusian security officials.
