Lukashenko appointed new Minister of Justice

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko appointed a new minister of Justice of the deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Sergey Khomenko. It is reported by Zerkalo.io.

“Good strong lawyers in the Ministry of Justice There are. I need a very strong organizer, manager,” said Lukashenko. Former Minister of Justice Oleg Slisevsky occupied this post for almost 10 years.

Khomenko 55 years old. He was born in the Donetsk region in 1987 he graduated from the Ordzhonikidze Higher Military Command School, after 10 years – the Military Academy in Moscow, and in 2009 – Faculty of the General Staff of the Military Academy of Belarus. He served in the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR and Belarus.

Earlier, Lukashenko stated that the “next attempt of the revolution” in Belarus will be held during the referendum on the new version of the Constitution. According to him, the situation remains tense, since the West seeks to change power and destroy the independence of the republic.

Referendum on the updated Constitution of Belarus is scheduled for the end of February 2022.
