The first thread of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline is filled with technical gas, commissioning works on the second continue, according to the NORD Stream 2 AG operator.
In accordance with the plan and project requirements, the thread is filled in the amount of approximately 177 million cubic meters, which provides a pressure level of 103 bar in the gas pipeline, noted in the company. Such a pressure is enough to start gas transportation in the future, emphasized in Nord Stream.
The final resolution from Germany is the last step towards the launch of the Nord-2 gas pipeline. This was previously reported Russian Ambassador to the United Kingdom Andrei Kelin. The diplomat stressed that the gas pipeline is fully ready for use.
Since the end of August, in Europe there is an energy crisis associated with increased gas demand, low levels of storage and interruptions in supplies.
