The service life of the Russian intercontinental missiles of UR-100N with improved tactical and technical characteristics (UTTC) “Stiletto” extended to 2023. This was announced by the Director General and the designer of the military-industrial complex “NPO Engineering”, a member of the regional council of the Moscow Regional Regional Office of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia Alexander Leonov in an interview with RIA Novosti.
According to Leonov, at the moment, the “stiletti” has the largest period of stay on battle duty. “These deadlines are extended over 37 years, which ensures the operation of the complex in accordance with the RVSN plans,” he noted. To preserve the complex in operation, it was necessary to implement many scientific research and development work as part of a single comprehensive program.
In April, Alexander Leonov said that the service life of the UR-100N UTTK, speaking by carriers of the hyperzewo blocks “Avangard”, is planned to be extended for three years. “We will keep this missile on battle duty as much as you need,” said the gender-rode.
