In St. Petersburg passed “reading memory of Academician V.P. Glushko”

In the city of St. Petersburg, the III All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “Reading Memory Academician V.P. Glushko” was held. The event was organized by the State Museum of History of St. Petersburg, educational and exhibition complex “Museum of the history of cosmonautics and missile equipment. V.P. Glushko, Baltic State Technical University” Military “named after D.F. Ustinova and the North-West Interregional Public Organization of the Federation of Cosmonautics of the Russian Federation.

Representatives of the Scientific and Production Association “Energomash” named after Academician V.P. Glushko (part of the Roscosmos State Corporation) Svetlana Colonsinova and Vladimir Sudakov took part in the readings, submitting a report on the plenary session “Leningrad to the fate of the first engines and rackets: GDL and not only”, in which they told about the fate of their colleagues who worked with V.P. Glushko in the late 20s – early 40s of the last century.

According to Vladimir Sudakov, due to coronavirive restrictions, the organizers conducted an event in a hybrid format – in addition to a fairly large number of students who visited the conference in part, many representatives of school museums, historians, connoisseurs of rocket technology from different parts of the country participated in readings remotely.

“The conference aroused great interest. Also, thank God, many people who have known Valentina Petrovich, and they are happy to share their memories, of which the historic mosaic is developing,” said Vladimir Sudakov.

At the opening of readings by representatives of NGO Energomash to the leadership of the State Museum of History of St. Petersburg, the Gas Dynamic Laboratory was awarded, about the activities of the first in our country of the rocket organization, including the development of EARD and EDD under the leadership of V.P. Glushko in Leningrad and then in Moscow and in Kazan.
