The first brigade of the newest anti-aircraft missile system (VIS) C-500 will protect the air space of Moscow and the Central Industrial District. ON reports TASS.
According to the source, the first brigade kit entered the troops of the 15th army of the special purpose of air-space forces (VKS) of Russia, carrying combat duty on the protection and defense of air-space space over the capital.
It is known that the second Brigade C-500 will be transferred to the troops in the first half of next year. The interlocutor of the agency clarified that this is a “long-term contract.”
In September, the Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov said that the state tests of the anti-aircraft missile system of the C-500 Prometheus were completed, and the Russian troops began to receive the first samples of this weapon.
