In 2022, Russian pensions will be indexed in accordance with the growth index of the subsistence minimum of the pensioner. This was announced by Professor of the Department and prices by Reu named after Plekhanov Yulia Finogenov in a conversation with the Agency “Prime”.

Currently, the subsistence minimum of a pensioner on average around the country is 10,022 rubles. Next year, it will increase to 10 277. In this regard, insurance pensions will increase by 5.9 percent from January 1, 2022, and social pensions and pensions under state pension provision will increase by 7.7 percent from April 1, 2022.

Finogenova noted that the indexing size will be higher than the index of 4.3 percent, which was assumed a year ago “in the conditions of higher real indicators of the minimum income of the pensioner.”

Other payments

From February 1, 2022, other monthly payments will be indexed by 5.8 percent, which receive federal beneficiaries, including veterans of the Great Patriotic War, awarded by various orders of citizens affected by radiation, former juvenile prisoners of fascism and some other categories citizens. Monthly cash payments depends on the status of the recipient.

In addition, next year will begin to pay storage pensions to women in 1967 birth. The average size will be 2,613 rubles. non-working does not count

The Boris Titov, previously authorized on the Rights of Entrepreneurs, reproached the Ministry of Finance that he does not allocate money for the indexation of working retirees. In his opinion, pensioners want to work and are ready to replace migrants, but do not make it due to the concern to lose the indexation of pensions. “They will lose benefits, their pensions will not be indexed. It takes people to go out,” he said.

On September 22, the Government once again did not approve the law on indexing pensions to working retirees. According to the authorities, the measure will require additional expenses, while the bill does not offer any sources of financing.

In turn, the Chairman of the Presidium of the Union of Pensioners of Russia and the Deputy Committee of the Committee of the Federation Council on Social Policy Valery Ryazan suggested pensioners who complain about the lack of money for food, go to work. “If there are strength and opportunities, then you should earn somewhere. There are no miracles,” he said. The politician also recalled that retirees may apply for one-time material assistance, but noted that this will not solve constant financial problems. In his opinion, the reason for low pensions in Russia is that small salaries do not allow people to accumulate to old age and receive a good pension in the future.
