“Moussa Darmanin has built a big lie,” said Sunday Mr. Tebboune – Moussa is Mr. Darmanin’s second name, given a tribute to his grandfather, an Algerian tirailleur of the Second World War. “There has never been 7,000 [Algerian clandestines], it’s completely wrong,” said TEBBOUNE in an interview with several Algerian media.

“The list that has reached us in 2020 and the three lists in 2021 counted 94 cases, among which twenty-one were accepted and sixteen rejected”, provides the Algerian president. “They will not return [in Algeria] because they are related to terrorism. They came from Syria (…). There are binationals who have no family here,” he added.

A list of 94 “ultra-priority profiles”

In response, the entourage of Mr. Darmanin explained Monday: “The list [of the 94 Algerians] to which President Tebboune refers corresponds to the ultra-priority profiles, those stocked for radicalization and that we consider the More dangerous, we want to return as soon as possible. “

In addition, 97 Algerians in an irregular situation are entered in the report file for the prevention of terrorist radicalization, and 260 Algerians in an irregular situation are on the list “Plazza”, that is to say that They have committed serious disorders to public order (murders, attempts to murder, rape, sexual assault or drug trafficking), according to the Minister’s entourage.

The remainder of the 7,730 OQTF may concern persons irregularly entered in France without residence permit, living on the territory beyond the period of validity of a visa or a living area valid or representing a threat for public order and residing for less than three months in France.

By September 28, a half of the visas for Algeria and Morocco and a third party for Tunisia, invoking the “refusal” of these countries to issue the Consular passes necessary for the return of immigrants repressed from France. The number of consular passes awarded since the beginning of the year, “a thirty (…), is not acceptable,” said Monday, the entourage of Mr. Darmanin.

Algiers had reacted the day after the announcement of France, convening the French ambassador to notify him a “formal protest of the Algerian government following a unilateral decision of the French government affecting the quality and fluidity of the traffic” .
