The Spanish composer Luis de Pablo, one of the greatest representatives of contemporary music in Spain, died Sunday in Madrid at the age of 91, we learned on Monday 11 October to the Ministry of Spanish culture.
Born in 1930 in Bilbao, in the Spanish Basque Country, Luis de Pablo was considered one of the main figures of the generation of 51, a group of composers who modernized Spanish music by integrating it at the European avant-gardes . Self-taught, he has composed more than three hundred works, according to the company of Spanish authors and composers (SGAE), and has been part of some of the most popular groups of contemporary Spanish music, such as Tiempo Y Musica and Alea.
