President of Serbia Alexander Vucich asked Russian leader Vladimir Putin to sell his gas to his country at the lowest possible price in Europe. He stated this at a joint press conference with the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergey Lavrov, his words leads TASS.
“I asked Vladimir Putin, and I am not ashamed to admit to this, about the lowest price for Gas for Serbia in Europe,” said the head of state.
Wuchich noted that the construction of the Balkan Stream gas pipeline became salvation in the conditions of the energy crisis, the reasons for which the president called not prisoners in time long-term contracts for gas with Russia.
Earlier in October, it became known that Belgrade wanted to conclude a new long-term gas contract with Moscow. “In this very difficult time, when the price of gas took off 10-20 times, Russia again with us,” said the head of the Russian-Serbian Intergovernmental Committee for Trade, Economic and Scientific and Technical Cooperation.
