President of Serbia Alexander Vucich at a press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Belgrade thanked Moscow for ensuring the energy safety and supply of vaccine from coronavirus. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
“We especially grateful to the Russian Federation for assistance in maintaining the energy stability and security of our country,” said Vucich.
Speaking about the help of Russia in the fight against coronavirus, the politician stated that Serbia would not forget Russian doctors with technology. “Our citizens have become much more confident then. We remember who helps us in difficult moments, and never forget about this assistance and support,” he said.
According to RIA Novosti, Russia is now the only supplier of natural gas in Serbia.
Earlier in October, it became known that Belgrade wanted to conclude a new long-term gas contract with Moscow. “In this very difficult time, when the price of gas took off 10-20 times, Russia again with us,” said the head of the Russian-Serbian Intergovernmental Committee for Trade, Economic and Scientific and Technical Cooperation.
