The Nobel Committee announced the names of the winners of the Alfred Nobel Memory Economy. Broadcasting ceremony ad laureates is conducted on the website of the Nobel Prize.
This year three scientists became the winners of the awards: Canadian David Card, and two Americans – Joshua Angist and Guido Imbens. Card will receive half awards, Angist and Imbens will share the second half.
Card was noted for the “empirical contribution to the labor economy”, Angist and Imbens – for the “methodological contribution to the analysis of causal relationships.”
The economy premium is formally not among the Nobel nominations and is awarded in memory of the founder of the Alfred Nobel Prize. Traditionally, her laureates are declared the last in the framework of the Nobel Week.
