In a speech during the sworn delivery, M me BOUDEN, 63, said that “the fight against corruption will be the most important objective” of its government, which has 25 members In addition to his leader. Among them, Samir Said, a banker, was appointed Minister of Economy and Planning. Counsel Taoufik Charfeddine, he finds the portfolio of the interior, of which he has already been the holder between September 2020 and January 2021.

Manifestations against the President

The announcement of the new government occurs in the aftermath of a new event in Tunis against the exception measures decided by Mr. Saïed, attended by at least 6,000 people in the capital.

After two months of uncertainties, Mr. Saïed promulgated on 22 September a decree formizing the suspension of several chapters of the Constitution and introducing “exceptional measures”, supposed to be provisional, the time to carry out political reforms, of which Amendments to the 2014 Constitution.
