Belarusian opposition blog Eduard Palchis was presented with a final charge of four criminal articles. It is reported by the human rights center “Spring” .
Palchiza is accused of organizing mass riots, the organization of “actions, roughly violating public order”, in the “inciting social hostility” and “calls aimed at causing the harm of national security.” It is clarified that the blogger may threaten up to 15 years in prison.
The opposition was charged back in November 2020. It is detained. The Belarusian authorities recognized its Telegram channel extremist.
Charges against Palchis are associated with a series of protests that began after the presidential election on August 9, 2020, where Alexander Lukashenko defeated. Then tens of thousands of people were detained, many told about torture and beating in insulators. At least four people died, hundreds received prison terms for opposition activities, including fines.
Detention continues until now. Stripping also underwent non-profit and non-governmental organizations (NGOs and NGOs), as well as the media. Many protest participants also accused of involvement in terrorist activities, which allegedly sponsor some Western countries.
