The government appreciated the prospects of the rise in price in Russia of some categories of goods in the coming months. The arguments of the Ministry of Economic Development are given on the website of the department.
The report states that the acceleration of non-food inflation is caused at several factors at once, among which the weakening of the ruble exchange rate at the beginning of 2021, interruptions in global chains of deliveries of goods, the lack of components and components, as well as the rise in price of industrial metals.
All these factors are temporary and are largely related to the coronavirus pandemic, the department notes. Rising prices for non-food products has been a consequence of the impairment of the balance of demand and suggestions due to import restrictions.
At the same time, the Ministry of Economic Development fixes the slowdown in prices for some non-food products. In September, it fell from 0.8 to 0.6 percent in relation to August. The agency expects further reduction in inflation in the non-food sector.
On October 8, Izvestia, with reference to the forecast of the Ministry of Economic Development, wrote about the rapid rise in price of certain categories of non-food products, including gasoline and tobacco products. The rise in prices for them by the end of the year can be 7.2 percent.
