This was stated by the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in Afghanistan, Director of the Second Asian Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation Zamir Kabulov, reports RIA Novosti.
According to the diplomat, there is no tension on the border between countries. “There was a hot rhetoric from two sides. Now everything is calm there. In any case, I have no information that there is something restless or that there were some clashes,” Kabulov stressed.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Tajikistan rated data on the exacerbation of the situation on the border with Afghanistan. According to the source, the situation on the border remains unchanged and no provocations from the Afghan side. However, he stressed that the Tajik military in the event of an escalation of tension would have been translated into the barracks.
On September 30, the Russian Foreign Ministry recorded reports of tagging the Armed Forces of Tajikistan and Afghanistan to the overall border. Diplomat Alexei Zaitsev stated that the agency with anxiety observes an increase in tensions in Tajik-Afghan relations against the background of mutual sharp statements of the leaders of the two countries.
