The Scientific and Technical Center “Protection” of the State Corporation Roscosmos together with the private company “Android appliances” and the Foundation for promising research began testing on the Cosmodrome, the Eastern Robotic Security Platform “Marker”. In particular, it is working out the following technologies:
- autonomous patrolling of selected routes for the protection of objects of land space infrastructure;
- detection of the perimeter of the perimeter of protection, its identification and interception;
- countering terrorist acts, the fight against bla.
We see the use of these complexes in the composition of security structures as devices that ensure the safety of spacecraft, enterprises and other objects of state importance. “Marker” works both in the radio-controlled and autonomous regime, “said Roskosmos State Corporation General Director Dmitry Rogozin.
To date, five platforms have been developed: two on the wheel chassis and three tracked. The formed scientific and technical maintenance and technology, including with elements of artificial intelligence, will be applied when creating equipment for research and mastering the moon and the planets of the solar system. Designers already now work out the possibility of autonomous movement of both single platforms and platforms in the group.
