COVID-19: Twenty and a new departments concerned by end of mask at primary school

Since October 4, 47 other French departments had already applied this measure.

The port of the mask will no longer be mandatory for elementary students in 21 new departments from Monday, according to a list published Thursday, October 7 in the Official log .

This concerns the Hautes-Alpes, dawn, Haute-Corsica, the Doubs, the Eure-et-Loir, the Haute-Garonne, the Gironde, the Ille-et-Vilaine, the lot, the Lot-et-Garonne, North, Oise, Puy-de-Dôme, the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, the Hautes-Pyrénées, the Pyrénées-Orientales, the Bas-Rhin, the Savoie, the territory of Belfort, the meeting and Mayotte.

These departments are added to the other 47 already concerned by this measure for students of the five years of primary (CP at CM2), since October 4th.

This carries to 68 the number of departments concerned by the lifting of this braking measure of the propagation of SAR-COV-2.

Primary pupils wore the mask at school for nearly a year, but the obligation is lifted in the departments “where the incidence rate stabilizes below the threshold of 50 for 100,000 inhabitants “. Teachers, they will have to continue to wear it. In the remaining 33 departments, the circulation of the virus is still too high for students to be allowed to stop the mask.
