The most popular products in the basket of Russians are fresh vegetables and fruits, milk, bread, fresh meat, cheeses, mineral water, pasta, cereals, sweets. This is stated in the study of the online service “SberMarket”, reports TASS.
It is noted that Russia’s residents began to buy less cottage cheese, eggs and chocolate in the current year. “The share of fresh cottage cheese decreased from 29 percent in 2020 to 21 percent – in 2021, the share of eggs – from 30 percent to 24 percent, the proportion of chocolate – from 20 percent to 14 percent,” the text of the study said.
According to online service, the sales of semi-finished products increased. Thus, the share of mayonnaise increased by 2 percent in the total number of user baskets, semi-finished products for 1 percent, dumplings, mantle and dumplings – by 2 percent.
Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Industry will want to change the procurement processes between trading networks and their suppliers to curb prices for products in Russia. The deputy head of the ministry Viktor Yevtukhov instructed the Department of Development of Domestic Trade to explore whether it is possible to make a procedure for concluding direct contracts between networks and suppliers of mandatory.
