Jen Psaki’s White House spokesman during a briefing on Wednesday, October 6, did not speak with predictions regarding the possibility of meeting the US President Joe Bayden and Russian leader Vladimir Putin at the G20 summit in Rome at the end of October. This is reported by TASS.
“I have no forecasts for you regarding bilateral meetings. At the moment we still work out this on a daily basis,” Psaki said, answering the question about the possibility of meeting the heads of two states at the event.
The previous meeting of Vladimir Putin and Joe Bayden went on June 16 in Geneva at Villa La Grunge. Leaders of states communicated for three and a half hours. According to the meeting, their joint statement was published. After the US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken stated that the meeting had a positive effect on work on strategic stability and arms control.
