Foreign Ministry responded to expulsion of Russian diplomats from NATO

Deputy Foreign Ministry of Russia Alexander Grushko said that Moscow does not believe the statements of NATO leaders about the dialogue with Russia after expulsion of representative office staff. His words conveys the Edition Kommersant.

Diplomat recalled that the leaders of the Alliance yesterday declared the importance of declaration in relations with Russia and called on to resume dialogue within the Council of Russia. “If someone believed in the sincerity of these statements, today there were no such. Their true price is understandable to everyone,” said Grushko.

Earlier, the head of the Commission of the Federation Council on the Protection of State Sovereignty, Andrei Klimov, said that NATO’s decision to send eight employees of Russia’s representative office during the Alliance and leave only 10 diplomats would not be unanswered. “This kind of NATO’s behavior without an answer will not remain and will not be unnoticed,” Klimov promised.

On October 6, NATO reported on the expulsion of several employees of the Russian mission at the Alliance from Brussels for their “hostile activity.” In the mission there will be only 10 diplomats.
