In his complaint, the lawyer reproaches Mr. DuPond-Moretti from having insulted her, as well as a sister, during a trial for female before the Evreux Assize Court in 2020, before the lawyer is appointed minister. “The qualification suggested by the complainant does not seem adapted to me”, explained to a correspondent of the France-Presse agency (AFP) the prosecutor of the Republic.

“We are on a qualification of possibly sexist insults, which falls under the law of the press. We are on short prescriptions. In the present case, the deadline was largely exceeded,” said the magistrate specified . In addition, “there is no incident or act in the minutes of the trial debates on the Assize,” she added.

The parquet had confirmed on September 22 the filing of this complaint. The Minister’s entourage had denounced a “blackmail attempt” and said that Mr. Dupond-Moretti was considering a complaint for slanderous denunciation.

Asked on this point Wednesday, M me Puechmaille added that she had “not received a complaint from the custody of the seal for slanderous denunciation”. “That being, he could have filed a complaint directly in Paris. He could not file a complaint in a legally slanderous denunciation before I have classified without continuation. My mail went on last weekend,” she added.
