Embassy of Russia responded to US accusations in the case of Alexey Navalny (FBK founder recognized in Russia by an extremist organization) on its page in Facebook .
Diplomats paid attention to the fact that the case of Navalny from the first hours was accompanied by the “aggressive propaganda campaign of Western and affiliates with them of Russian information resources.” Their central thesis was nothing confirmed by the statement about the “poisoning” of the blogger, reminded there, calling the accusations of the American side by votor.
The embassy noted that Russia destroyed all stocks of combat poisoning substances back in 2017. At the same time, the United States remains the only country in the world that did not destroy the “impressive” arsenal of chemical buildings. “Call Washington in the shortest possible time to complete the chemical farming program and implement international obligations, securing the world from the potential application of this type of weapons,” Russian diplomats said.
Previously, the United States together with 44 countries handed over Russia at the headquarters of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) issues in the case of Alexey Navalny. In accordance with the document, Russia must provide an answer within 10 days.
On August 2020, the well-being of Navalny sharply deteriorated during the flight from Tomsk to Moscow, the plane made an emergency landing in Omsk. On August 22, he was taken to the Berlin Clinic, whose specialists declared the discovery of the Russians in the body of the substance from the Novice group. Russian doctors argue that the poisons did not find. After recovery, Navalny announced involvement in his poisoning of the Russian leadership. Moscow rejects all the accusations, referring to the unwillingness of foreign countries, in particular Germany, to cooperate to investigate the incident.
