The statements that under the cover of Afghan refugees to European countries will enter the terrorists – complete nonsense. So the risks of penetration into Europe extremists appreciated the professor of the anthropology and sociology of the Geneva Center for Humanitarian Research Alessandro Monsutti in a conversation with “Tape.ru.”
He stressed that some terrorists can really take place in Afghanistan, but they are still based in Europe. “The terrorists move completely different from refugees with ways. They have more opportunities, more resources and, as a rule, there is a necessary passport,” Monsuti explained.
According to a sociologist, Afghan refugees, as a rule, were first placed in third countries, where they were subjected to thorough checks. This is clearly not the most reliable for terrorists a way to enter Western countries, so they will rather use other paths for this. “Non Afghanistan and not Afghan society create terrorists, and the West,” Monsuti emphasized.
Earlier it was reported that the American authorities suspected about hundreds of Afghan refugee evacuated in the United States in relations with terrorist groups. According to the NBC TV channel, with respect to about 10 thousand citizens of Afghanistan evacuated in the United States, additional checks were required due to possible relations with the “Taliban” or other terrorist groups.
Concern about the possibility of penetrating from Afghanistan to neighboring countries of terrorists and extremists also expressed the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharov. The diplomat noted that members of terrorist organizations can move to Central Asian countries under the cover of humanitarian slogans and conscripts for refugees.
