In the Russian consumer market for the first time, signs of overheating are observed. The most intense situation has developed with food prices, writing “Izvestia”. The publication studied two documents: the main directions of the budget, tax and customs tariff policy for 2022 and the planning period of 2023 and 2024, developed by the Ministry of Finance, within the budget package, which has already been submitted to the State Duma.
Ministry of Finance called overheating background. In the internal sphere, experts saw a leading increase in demand in 2021 in relation to production facilities. And to the external – fiscal “pumping” of funds in developed countries and the global deficit of production facilities in individual groups of goods. These circumstances create a “increased inflationary background.”
In addition, food is more expensive than a leading pace. According to the latest information Rosstat, the increase in the value of goods and services in August 2021 compared with August 2020 amounted to 6.68 percent. At the same time, the price of food products for the year increased by 7.7 percent.
From food, sugar (38.1 percent), sunflower oil (by 27.3 percent) and eggs (by 15.4 percent) have been sent more in price (by 27.3 percent).
