Issue of proprietary driver NVIDIA 470.74

NVIDIA introduced new release of the proprietary driver NVidia 470.74 . Driver is available for Linux (Arm, x86_64), FreeBSD (x86_64) and Solaris (x86_64).

Main innovations:

  • Fixed a bug due to which applications running on the GPU can complete the operation after exiting sleep mode.
  • fixed regression, leading to very large memory spending while working using DirectX 12 and running via VKD3D-PROTON.
  • Added application profile prohibiting the use of FXAA in Firefox, which led to a violation of normal output.
  • Fixed Vulkan Performance Regression, affecting RFACTOR2.
  • Fixed a bug that could lead to the fact that the / Proc / Driver / Nvidia / Suspend power management interface could not save and restore the placed memory if the NVREG_TEMPORYFILEPATH parameter nvidia.ko kernel module contains an invalid path.
  • Fixed a bug leading to the inoperability of KMS (which is turned on by the MODESET = 1 parameter for the nvidia-drm.ko kernel module) in the Linux 5.14 kernel systems.
