The authorities of the city of Chirchik in the Tashkent region of Uzbekistan called upon local residents to refuse to use the Russian language in favor of Uzbek. This is reported by Telegram-channel local administration.
At the initiative of officials of urban spiritual administration in public places, including shops, transport and schools, tablets were asked to speak Uzbek and abandon the use of Russian speech.
The local administration said that such a share was organized in order to support the state language, which demonstrates “respect and love for nation and the state.”
Earlier in Uzbekistan, law enforcement officers refused to initiate a criminal case on the fact of beating a Russian boy, on which local children pounced the crowd with screams “Urus, Urus!”
Before that, the nationalists began to organize the humiliating “language raids”, during which they checked the knowledge of the Kazakh language to employees of shops and state institutions and were forced to apologize to Russian-speaking citizens.
