Montenegro: detained Russian banker

The city of Tivat in Montenegro detained the Russian banker with the initials I.TS. According to Interpol Orders. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Ministry of the Interior (Ministry of Internal Affairs) of the country.

It is noted that a 55-year-old citizen of Russia was wanted in connection with the accusations of financial fraud. According to Chernogorsk law enforcement agencies, Banker is suspected that he from 2012 to 2018 by means of “cottage and receiving bribes with the aim of consciously unlawful actions received illegal profit in the amount of 340 million rubles.” At the moment, the man was placed under the extradition arrest.

Earlier, director of the third European Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Oleg Treipkin said that Moscow encourages the Czech Republic to liberate the detained Russian Alexander Franchatti as soon as possible and not politicize his business. He stressed that the situation with the detention of a citizen of Russia complicates the already difficult relationship between Moscow and Prague, which were undermined on the initiative of the Czech side.
