The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Russia announced that it intends to consolidate the duration of the working day in the Labor Code (TC) and the rules for calculating seasonal holidays for employees report “Izvestia”.
Currently, the duration of the working day, the rules for calculating the annual paid leave and its monetary compensation in the event of dismissal of the employee are fixed by Soviet regulatory acts. The agency compiled a new document regulating the number of working hours and the procedure for calculating leave.
The existing rules for vacations established the People’s Commissariat of the USSR in the “Rules on the next and additional leaves”. The duration of the working day determines the decree of the Council of People’s Commissars of the RSFSR from 1917 “On the eight-hour working day”.
In September, the Ministry of Labor announced a change in the rules for appointing benefits for families with children. The agency intends to indicate pregnancy in legislation as an objective reason for lack of earnings – from the moment of registration before delivery. New rules take effect until the end of 2021.
