Poland extended two months from Migrants on border with Belorussia

The Poland’s Lower Chamber approved the Government’s decision to extend the emergency, introduced into areas bordering with Belarus due to an exacerbated migration situation. This is reported by TASS.

237 deputies were made for the extension of PE, against – 179, 31 more abstained.

On September 30, the decree on the extension of emergency was signed by the President of Poland by Angey Duda and sent him to the approval of Parliament.

A state of emergency extends to a cross-border zone of 3 kilometer width. The decision on its extension affects about 200 settlements and implies a ban on conducting mass and entertainment activities, the police duty in the enhanced mode, document verification. In addition, there can be no persons who do not live there, do not work or do not learn.

A state of emergency was introduced in Poland on September 2 for a period of 30 days. The reason for such a measure was the migration crisis on the border of Belarus and the EU countries, which began in May after the threats to the President of Alexander Lukashenko, to weaken control over the flows of illegal immigrants and drug trafficking. Large groups of migrants from the countries of the Middle East and Africa began to storm the boundaries of Lithuania for asylum in European countries.

Later illegals began to detain on the borders of Latvia and Poland and return back. At the same time, the Belarusian authorities refuse to let refugees back. At the same time, the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ordered Poland and Latvia to issue a housing stuck on the border with Belarus.
