Moscow reached a “slow progress” in negotiations with Washington on cybersecurity. This was stated by the deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Russia Sergey Ryabkov, reports RIA Novosti.
Diplomat rated the results of the dialogue on strategic stability. According to him, Russia and the United States have a lot of differences, but there is a desire to “determine the limits of the possible and at least start determining the points of contact.”
“We agreed to create two working groups that would be engaged in the topics. At the beginning, we must continue the exchange of signals that make up the content of the work at this stage. This can be carried out and in working order,” said Ryabkov.
Deputy Foreign Ministry explained that the first group will deal with future arms control issues. The second group will be responsible for the “iron”, that is, the potential of the parties and the actions that provide strategic effect.
