DPR and LNR created a single economic space

Agreement on the establishment of a unified customs territory and the development of economic integration, previously signed by the leaders of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics (DPR and LNR), came into force after the exchange of instruments of ratification. This is reported by the Donetsk News Agency.

According to the publication, the Foreign Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the DPR and LNR Natalia Nikororov and Vladislav Diana took part in the solemn ceremony. The contract involves the abolition of customs posts, as well as the deepening of cooperation in the trade and economic sphere.

On September 15, the heads of the DNR and LNR Denis Pushilin and Leonid Pisin signed an agreement on the creation of a single customs zone. The parties also agreed to strengthen the economic integration of the republics. The purpose of such close cooperation is to accelerate the economic development of the territories and improving the quality of life of the population.

Declaration on the creation of a single economic zone was signed by the heads of the DPR and LNP on September 6. The document notes that the parties agreed to implement synchronized social and economic development programs at 2022-2024.
