Parliament of Barbados approved amendment to the Constitution, which deprives the Queen of Great Britain Elizabeth II status of the Governor of the Island. It is reported by the EFE Agency.
November 30, on the day of the 55-year anniversary of independence from the UK, Barbados will cease to be a constitutional monarchy and will become a republic.
