Foreign Ministry spoke on decision of Czech Republic to remove Russia and PRC from construction of a nuclear power plant

Czech Republic adopted a discriminatory decision, removing Russia and the PRC from the construction of a nuclear power plant “Cooked.” This is reported by TASS with the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation.

On September 27, the Czech President Milos Zeman said that Beijing and Moscow are excluded from the list of project participants. Allegedly according to the rules, only countries who have joined the International State Rentance Treaty from 1996 can participate in it. But Russia and China did not enter this agreement.

Participants in the tender for the construction of a new power unit of NPP “Coous” became the Russian State Council “Rosatom”, South Khnp, French EDF, Chinese China General Nuclear Power and American Westinghouse. The winner of the competition will be announced in 2024. It is planned that the work will begin in 2029, and will end 2036.
