Russia to save China from energy crisis

Electricity supplies over the power line (LEP) “Amur – Heihe” will grow more than three times from October 1. This is reported by TASS with reference to the reportage of China Central Television.

The operating time of the converter substation will increase from 5 to 16 hours per day. This measure will radically soften the problem with electricity interruptions in China and will save the country from the energy crisis. According to the TV channel, in 29 years, China received more than 30 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity from Russia.

The Interstate Power Line of the Amur – Heihe electric transmission earned in April 2012. It connects the Amur region with the northeastern regions of China. Countries decided to conclude a 25-year-old electricity supply contract. Maximum power power – 750 megawatt-hour.

At the end of September in China, due to lack of electricity, electricity outages began in residential buildings and production. About 20 provinces and regions have introduced various restrictions on electricity consumption. The reason for the deficit was the temperature records in the country, restoring the economy after a pandemic and a restriction on the use of coal on environmental purposes. Against the background of the lack of electricity, the reserves of energy coal in China approached a record low level, and its cost has grown sharply.
