In the Far East, the shipment of Mixed and other inexpensive fish was reduced due to a two-time increase in the cost of carriage in refrigerated wagons, Kommersant writes. A representative of one of the federal retail chains reported that suppliers warned about the rise in price of Mixed 10 percent.
Rail transportation in refrigerators and containers have grown from the beginning of the year from 9 and 10 to 16 and 20 rubles per kilogram, respectively. Sending the autorsatrier increased from 15.5 to 22 rubles per kilogram, although in 2020 the maximum price reached 16 rubles. Increasing the cost of transportation forced Rosrybolovia to contact the federal antimonopoly service (FAS). The head of the Fish Union Alexander Panin celebrates the seasonal factor: the need for refrigerators is growing due to increased demand for fish in October-December.
Due to the rise in price of transportation, manufacturers began to send inexpensive fish to the markets – Mintai, herring, mackerel. Warehouses of the Far East are filled with budget fish by 60 percent, although earlier 85 percent occupied expensive salmon species. Against this background, Mixed Cost in Vladivostok decreased almost twice – from 101 to 58 rubles per kilogram.
The authorities expected the cost of transportation. At the end of July, Mikhail Mishustin Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on the provision of Russian Railways subsidies from the federal budget for transportation of Mixed from the Far East to the central regions of the country. However, funds have not yet been highlighted, the source said.
