Head of the State Duma Committee on the Financial Market of Anatoly Aksakov said that the draft law on the restriction of issuing credits banks can be taken in the first reading in October of this year. He made that the initiative will be taken at the beginning of 2022, writing “Izvestia”.
emphasizes that the draft law provides for restrictions only in relation to unsecured consumer loans that are not provided in Russia for business activities. The deputy explained that the limits would not affect mortgage types of loans – for example, mortgages and car loans.
However, it is planned that the law will establish the maximum permissible shares of certain types of risky loans in the total volume. The deadline for the introduction of restrictions will determine the Board of Directors of the Central Bank, depending on the current market situation.
